Get Ready WIth Me For The investec derby Races

Off to the races this year and need some inspiration?
I know that picking an outfit for the races can be a stressful thing - especially if there's a dress code - 'shall I get a hat or a fascinator?' 'Which colour shall I get?' 'Shall I get heels or wedges?' #girlproblems. Well, get ready with me for the races at Epsom Derby!

I have never actually been to the races before (embarrassing, I know) mainly just because I have always usually been really busy around this time, however I'm pleased to say that this year I'll be attending with Epsom - with tickets to the Queen's Stand!! Seeing as I have never been to the races or a ladies day before, I think the part I am most looking forward to is soaking up the atmosphere of the day itself. It's something I have always watched on TV when I was a lot younger and looked at the fancy dresses and hats, wanting to be there (if you know me, you'll know that I love any occasion to get really dressed up). I'm also looking forward to trying the food on the day (if eating isn't the best part of your day, then you're lying).
If you are looking at purchasing tickets for the Queen's Stand yourself, these retail for £110pp and include entry to the stand, as well as access to the premier enclosure, premier bars and restaurants (however food is not included), and viewing of the winners enclosure and parade ring.

DRESS
First things first is the dress. Arguably the most important part, no?
I chose this gorgeous light pink strapless floral dress from Chi Chi London. As it's spring now and nearly summer, I wanted to go for a colour that's light and airy, and in the warmer weather I do tend to like strapless dresses when I have a tan.

Here are some of my other favourite picks from Chi Chi London, that maybe you'll like for yourself: (I nearly got the first blue one but it wasn't in stock in my size *cries*)
HATS, FASCINATORS AND HAIR
Depending on your outfit, the next part is to choose a hat or fascinator. Not all ladies days' require you to wear a headpiece, however at Epsom Queens Stand it is required.
I chose to wear a fascinator instead of a hat just because I'm quite short, and I felt a fascinator would add a bit of extra height (LOL), as well as not swamping/drowning me.
I haven't picked the exact one I'm going for yet, but obviously I am going for a light pink colour, and these are the ones I am choosing between:
JEWELLERY AND ACCESSORIES
I am keeping it quite simple with jewellery, I like to wear no more than one piece of jewellery on each arm, 1 ring on each hand, 1 necklace and simple earrings. I decided not to go for a statement earring as the fascinator itself will be enough of a statement.

SHOES
Heels or wedges? Low or high heel? The choice is yours (or not, if you are indecisive like me).
This is something I haven't 100% made my mind up on yet, however I'm swaying towards these nude/silver heels:
